Finely carved in the form of a large veined lotus leaf with characteristic veining running down the exterior of the cup and gnarled lotus leaf and bud clambering over to the sides to form the handleand issuing further foliage around the exterior on a wavy patterned base below. 17th/18th C. H. 10cm (3 7/8 in.) L. 17.8cm (7 in.) Weight: 290g. Part of the lotus handle broken at the tip Restrictions exist regarding the import and export of species protected under CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species).
