Boxwood, very delicately carved in detail. Rooster, its head turned sitting on a drum, tail feathers impressively curved and very delicately engraved, eyes inlaid with light horn with dark pupils, the buttons on the drum inlaid with black horn. H.4.8cm, w.3.8cm. Signed: Tametaka, unusually slender dense signature, very closed to the copper cartouche added later around the larger hole. Condition A/B.
