Ivory, very delicately and subtly carved, polished and lightly accentuated with ink. Beautiful golden-yellow patina. Inside each of the two large nuts a meticulously carved landscape, a tiny person sitting in one of them. W.4.2cm. Signed: Ryugyoku on oval reserve, cf. MCI p. 668 school of Gyokuhosai Ryuchin, T?ky?. Condition A. Discolouration through pipe.
