Within a frame accentuated in silver, entirely covered in thick, detailed so-called Somada laquer of finely cut gold foil, alternating with such of brilliant green Aogai, recessed panels on both sides, covered in thick Kinji, having the effect of gold foil on one side the half-length figure of a Ni? with inlaid eyes of mother-of-pearl with red pupils, standing behind a palisade at the pillar of a shrine. On verso a three-story pagoda with Sorint? tip, standing out above a young cedar and pine tree. Nashiji inside. H.10.4cm. Signed: Gyokuzan, cf.
