A CHINESE CELADON JADE TRIPOD VESSEL, JIA, QING DYNASTY. Modelled on the archaic bronze ceremonial vessels of the Shang dynasty with three blade form legs each with lion mask, supporting a rounded cup body with notched flanges and animal form handle. To the top are raised posts with caps carved with comma spirals. 19cm tall.

Provenance: Property of a local gentleman. Overall good condition with no signs of damage or repair. Natural russet lines visible at the jade rim and to one leg.
