Large Archive of Cyanotypes of Architectural Details, formerly used in the offices of the Architectural Firm of H H Richardson (1838–1886), and includes photographic images, photos of drawings and artwork, all made graphic by the cyanotype process. Good condition. Mostly 6 inches (15.3 cm.) X 8 inches (20.4 cm.), or the reverse with small margins. NOTE: Known as the creator of "Richardsonian Romanesque," this archive confirms the Architect's preferences. The Architect worked from Cincinnati, to Chicago, from Pittsburgh to Hartford and Boston, with an office in NYC and a home studio on Staten Island, this group may have been ordered by Richardson to give him a portable collection of details from various Rare Book Libraries.
