Il dottore Alfredo Viggiano, collezionista appassionato di opere d’arte, pitture, sculture e soprattutto disegni antichi, nato a Torraca, Salerno, fu dal 1908 dottore in medicina. Skillful restorations, reinforced sheet. Beautiful watercolor inspired by a painting by Giuseppe Maria Crespi, known as Lo Spagnoletto. Provenance: Alfredo Viggiano Collection, collection stamp with letters AV in a box. Lugt: “A. Viggiano, 1884-1948, doctor of medicine, Venice. Doctor Alfredo Viggiano, a passionate collector of works of art, paintings, sculptures and above all ancient drawings, born in Torraca, Salerno, was a doctor of medicine from 1908. He owned more than 300 drawings, for the most part of the Italian school, from all eras and collected since 1928 ... The stamp is usually found on the bottom right, sometimes top left, sometimes still, so as not to ruin the design , on the reverse. " Lugt, Les Marques de Collections de Dessins & d'Estampes, 191a.
