Nel margine a sinistra, in basso, la firma del cartografo 高柴三雄認 Mitsuo Takashiba. Mappa orientata con il Nord a destra, Sud a sinistra, Ovest in alto, Est in basso. I punti cardinali sono indicati con i rispettivi caratteri in nero entro cerchio rosso. In basso a sinistra grande riquadro con le indicazioni topografiche. In cornice. Carta molto rara. Una grande "veduta a volo d'uccello" dell’antica Edo, un eccellente esempio dell'aspetto di Tokyo prima che il Giappone fosse aperto al mondo dal Commodoro Perry nel 1852. Una mappa molto bella di grandi dimensioni, che mostra il Palazzo dell'Imperatore al centro, circondato da un fossato. La mappa mostra la visione completa di Edo e dei suoi sobborghi, fiumi, strade, strade, luoghi famosi, santuari e templi chiaramente nominati. Nella baia due imbarcazioni a vela, "junks" o "Sampans". In basso a sinistra caratteri direzionali, tabella delle distanze da Nihon Bashi a varie destinazioni lontane.

In the lower left margin, the signature of the cartographer 高 柴三雄 認 Mitsuo Takashiba. Map oriented with North to the right, South to the left, West at the top, East at the bottom. The cardinal points are indicated with their respective characters in black within a red circle. Bottom left large box with topographical indications. In frame. Very rare. A grand "Bird's Eye Perspective" Of Old Edo, an excellent specimen of what Edo looked like prior to Japan being opened by Commodore Perry in 1852. A very nice grand size map, showing the Emperor's Palace in the center, surrounded by a moat. The map shows the complete view of Edo and its suburbs, rivers, streets, roads, famous places, shrines and temples clearly named. The bay shows two sailing "junks" or "Sampans" plying their way. With directional characters, distance chart from Nihon Bashi to various distant destinations.
