Rifilata sui margini, buono stato di conservazione. Veduta a volo d’uccello con un castello o un tempio in un paesaggio con montagne. Fu inserita in una serie con 53 Stazioni della T?kaid? Road. Nella città di Okazaki nacque Tokugawa Ieyasu, fondatore dello shogunato di Tokugawa. La stampa è impressa in monocromia su tonalità nocciola e marrone, raffinata tecnica utilizzata spesso da Hokusai, per conferire alle sue vedute un’atmosfera sfumata e onirica. Katsushika Hokusai, 1760 – 1849, pittore e incisore, è conosciuto principalmente per le sue opere in stile ukiyo-e. In una carriera lunga più di sessant'anni esplorò varie forme d'arte cimentandosi nella produzione di xilografie a soggetto teatrale, di stampe augurali a circolazione privata (surimono) e, negli anni trenta dell'Ottocento, di serie paesaggistiche. I suoi lavori furono un'importante fonte di ispirazione per molti impressionisti europei come Claude Monet e post-impressionisti come Vincent van Gogh e il pittore francese Paul Gauguin.

Trimmed on margins, good condition. Bird's eye view of a castle or temple in a landscape with mountains. She was included in a series with 53 stations on the T?kaid? Road. Tokugawa Ieyasu, founder of the Tokugawa shogunate, was born in the city of Okazaki. The print is printed in monochrome on hazelnut and brown tones, a refined technique often used by Hokusai, to give his views a nuanced and dreamlike atmosphere. Katsushika Hokusai, 1760 - 1849, painter and printmaker, is best known for his ukiyo-e style works. In a career spanning more than sixty years, he explored various forms of art, engaging in the production of theatrical woodcuts, greeting prints for private circulation (surimono) and, in the 1830s, landscape series. His works were an important source of inspiration for many European impressionists such as Claude Monet and post-impressionists such as Vincent van Gogh and the French painter Paul Gauguin.
