The first Tirthankara finely modeled seated in dhyanasana, with smaller depictions of Jinas, protective deities, elephants, celestials, chauri bearers, and the bull attribute shown at the center of the stepped base. The back engraved with an inscription and date. Minor chips.

Westindien, datiert Samvat 1185 (1128 AD), H 28,5 cm. Durchbrochen gearbeitete Bronze mit Resten von Silber- und Kupfereinlagen. Im Zentrum sitzt Rishabhanatha in dhyanasana auf einem Thron, der von L?wen getragen wird. Die langen Haare des ersten Tirthankaras fallen auf seine Schulten und die Augen sind mit Silber eingelegt. Im inneren Bogen wird der Jina von Chauri-Tr?gern flankiert und von Elefanten gebadet, auf dem Baldachin sitzt ein Muscheltr?ger. Im ?usseren Bogen sitzen und stehen weitere Jina, eingerahmt von himmlischen Wesen und Tieren. Auf dem gestuften Sockel sitzen Schutzgottheiten und der Stier, der zu Rishabhanatha geh?rt. Auf der Rückseite gravierte Inschrift und Datierung. Min. best.
