A very fine pair of Chinese HUTIAN porcelain stem bowl and dish, finely potted in a octagonal flori-form lobed rim vessel, with rounded cavetto, rising the rounded sides leading to the shaped rim, supported upon a ring foot base. Standing on the fitted dish, with centralized protruding lotus blossom petal, slightly concaved on the center, to fitted and supported the stem bowl. The dish having correspondence shapes, raised upon a prominent splayed foot base. Both under side central base remain unglazed, revealed the creme-orange ground with grayish-dark speckles firing marks during kiln process. The body is white, translucent and has the texture of very-fine sugar, indicating that it was made using crushed and refined pottery stone instead of pottery stone and kaolin. The glaze and the body of the bowl would have been fired together, in a saggar in a large wood-burning dragon kiln, typical of southern kilns in the period.
