Ming Dynasty, XuanDe reign period, Chinese porcelain potted with rounded cavetto everted the waisted octagonal flori-form lobed petal sides, toward the slightly flaring rim. The interior hand painted with a vigorous dragon amidst flames enclosed within two fine lines conforming the cavetto. The exterior decorated with dragon amidst flames and clouds medallions on each petal. Banded with upturning lappets on the foot and double fine lines before the outer rims. The Ming bowl elegantly displayed upon a carved hardwood stand. Fitted unto metallic yellow silk covered hard cushion above gilt thread inscribed blue ribbon, set inside a wooden box.
Mark on base, a six blue script -KaiShu- characters enclosed within double fine rings, XuanDe Reign Period of Great Ming.
