A Rare QianLong period lacquered Chinese covered box. Crafted in shape of two bulbous conjoined peaches, the entwined stems covered in gilt. The exterior richly decorated in grisaille and gilt of cranes, each mouth holds a scroll, in pursuits within terraced landscape and scrolling ruyi clouds, all against the carmine-red lacquered ground. The interior and receded under base left ebony lacquered.
Mark on base, with six gilt script -KaiShu- characters, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing (1736-1796), and of the period.
