Chinese porcelain potted in a round shape, bulbous body with flat base, rounded shoulder gently elevated short neck toward opening. Covered overall with a soft creme-grayish glaze suffused with a fine crackle ending at the bottom of the foot rim to expose the dark-grey ware burnt orange at the edges. The glaze appearance resembled the texture of an orange peel "ju-pi" (chu-p'i) or a chicken skin. Probably from Song Dynasty.
