VERY FINE Chinese Sini-Tibetan Ming Dynasty gilt bronze Bodhisattvas Buddha figure of four arms Shadaksari Avalokiteshvara (Tibetan: yig ge drug pa chen re zi. English: the Six Syllable All Seeing Lord) with the two attendant deities Manidhara and Shadaksari Mahavidya. As the nature of all Buddha, seated Avalokiteshvara, peaceful in appearance with gold ornaments with resplendent, smiling, peaceful serene face and radiant amidst intricate ornate headdress, elongated ears with floral earrings. Adorned with many attractive silks and jewels. Its has four hands, the first right raised slightly above shoulders in Mayura gesturea holding a garland of beads, the right holding a lotus floral. The lower are folded at the heart in Namasakra mudra. Two beautiful feet seated in full lotus posture upon double lotus crown pedestal. This sculpture appears to be the perfect example, by any artistic tradition, both for technical precision and exquisite form. The proportions of the body are exact and the overall presence and beauty make this sculpture a precious artistic treasure.
