Antique Chinese bronze vessel cast unto a bulbous body slandered to square corners of flared opening mouth and foot. The mid-section with bands of archaic reliefs pattern simulated the Tao-tie mask with seeing eyes. The trumpet neck has four large tropical lappets rising towards the flared rim decorated with a spear surrounded by curly vines. The spreading foot is encircled by further scroll bands and decorated with interlocking repeated ceremonial masks. Each section of the vase is cast with a set of four flanges. Two straight gilt line banded across the body. As sacrificial piece is considered quite rare. The metal patinated to a warm dark brown tone and some milky encrustation.
