The clay fine and exquisite, the glaze smooth with a moist appearance, the finishing meticulous. The Chinese Ming Dynasty porcelain bowl potted unto a shallow vessel form, rounded cavetto emerged steep round sides further to slightly flared wide opening, raised on a splayed countersunk tall foot base. The exterior decorated with reverse cobalt blue hand-painting of two five-claws dragons chasing the centralized flaming pearl amongst dense of cresting wavy water and rock mountain. Banded with a fine ring under rim. The interior decorated with similar design enclosed within the cavetto. The drawing are subtle, the immaculate porcelain body covered with a characteristic silky glaze, pooling on the base slightly veiling the mark.



Mark on interior foot rim, six blue script -KaiShu- characters; XuanDe Reign Period of Great Ming.
