A Chinese spinach-green jade carved unto a straight cylindrical body with wooden stopper and stand. The jade is elaborately carved depicted sages walking on trails within a dense forest beneath mountainous landscape, all sets with a pierced ground with pavilions amid overhanging rocks and springs, gnarled pines wutong and prunus. Deeply carved with a human figures in the sculpture, dwelling in the landscape, lush forests, make their way toward a temple retreat, where vacationers are seated together enjoying the view. Above the temple roofs the central mountain sits majestically, the climax to man's universe. Viewers of these work are meant to identify with a human figure in the painting, allowing them to walk through and dwell in the landscape. The hardwood cover is carved with pagoda roof sprays with gilt finial, while the base is both with an edge decorated with multi leveled pedestal and gallery. The Jade showing attractive emerald-green iridescent, moist milky appearance, with sporadic inclusions.
