A carved Chinese celadon Jade in form of a Buddha figure, with serene face, closing eyes, and elongated ears beneath the ushnisha, with hands in Abhaya-Mudra. Seated in full lotus position upon double lotus throne pedestal with aura-chakra nimbus surrounding the figure. Alternately on verso, decorated in relief with Dharma-Chakra wheel, the Buddhist Emblem Symbol. The Jade throne show tinge celadon color with sporadic golden hues of natural inclusions and moist milky appearance.

Dimensions: 228.6.mm H x 120.65mm W, Weight: 1696.7g

PROVENANCE:
Acquired by a private collector in Europe at a charity fund raising auction that was hosted by a prominent business leader from the Frederiksberg Denmark area. The benefactor and his corporation are recognized globally, the beneficiaries and charities to this date are ongoing contributing and enhancing to the lives of many.
