Chinese pearl court necklace, ChaoZhu beads. 19th C., Qing Dynasty court necklace comprised of well strung 108 natural round shape pearls accented by four larger carved pink Peking glass beads bordered with smaller green jadeite beads. Encircled toward the center Fotou connecting to a golden-yellow ribbon suspending oval shaped filigree mounted with lapis-lazuli pendant, bordered with two Fu-bats shaped carved jadeite, followed by the central back-cloud (BeiYun) Lapis-Lazuli gourd shaped pendant. Additional three strings of ten red-coral beads each suspending a similar Lapis-Lazuli pendants, with butterfly enamel works bead cap. The Pearl ChaoZhu Necklace accompanied by an antique Chinese fruit box crafted In form of a tapered straight cylindrical shape. The exterior decorated with mother of pearls inlaid with various geometrical patterns and floral motifs against ebony lacquered ground.
Mark on base, a four gilt script -KaiShu- characters enclosed within a square frame border, KangXi Reign Period.
