Fine Kangxi Period Chinese Yixing ovoid Teapot, with cast and applied Flowers to the sides, a band of Dragons at the mouth, and a large Fu Dog well detailed with curls, teeth, and a little tongue, with a Puppy at its feet to form a cover finial; single hole inside base of spout. Light wear, inside edge of the teapot with three chips, the inside edge of the cover with 5 small chips and a stem from the larger dog's mouth missing. Length from handle to spout 7 5/8 inches (19.5 cm.).
