Fine 19th C Chinese Yixing Melon Teapot, the sides with sharply cut calligraphy and a stamp near the handle which has leaves applied to the side, the cover shaped as a stem; single hole inside base of spout. Chip to tip of spout, 3 small chips inside mouth of teapot, parts of inside edge of cover chipped, scratches to surface. Length from handle to spout 6 3/4 inches (17.2 cm.).
