Each vase is decorated with a continuous scene of ladies and boys amongst trees, flowers, and rocks in a fenced garden between hatched bands. The necks are decorated with flowers and the feet with pine trees. The bases are marked with a yu (jade) character. The teapots with compressed bodies, each decorated with petal panels enclosing ladies alternating with flower sprays, with further flower sprays between the petal panels. The rim is decorated with a demi-diaper band. Both covers are associated, one is decorated with flowers with a ball finial, and the other with leaves and a Buddhist lion finial. The bases are marked with a yu (jade) character, one base is unglazed. One vase: 9.5 cm. high The other vase: 9 cm. high The teapots: 8.5 cm. wide Condition: One vase: section to the rim restored with associated overpainting; chips to the foot (approx. 0.5 cm.). The other vase: fine crackle to the glaze of the base; a fine glaze crack to the foot (approx. 0.5 cm.). One teapot cover: with chips to the rim (approx. 0.7 cm.).
