A blue glazed saucer dish Of round shallow form with straight foot rim, the interior glazed blue and incised with scrolling peonies, thinning towards the rim, a collector’s mark incised on top of the saucer dish, the exterior also blue glazed and decorated with further floral sprays, the base glazed and with a 4-character mark of Yu-tang Jia-qi (‘Elegant vessels of the Jade Hall;’), the glaze stopping short of the foot rim revealing the orange brown body. Period: Ming, mid-16th century. Diameter: 21.5 cm.
