A Tibeto-Chinese gilt copper repoussé figure of Bhaishajyaguru Seated in padmasana on a high lotus pedestal, in a posture of meditation with the right hand in in jnana mudra, the gesture of knowledge, wearing brocaded robes across the torso and over one shoulder, with elongated earlobes, the forehead with a raised urna, the hair tightly curled around the ushnisha with dark blue pigment, the expression peaceful, with downcast eyes and a slight smile. Not sealed. Period: 18th century. Height: 18.5 cm.
