Large Chinese 17th Century Transitional Wucai Porcelain Jar well painted in underglaze blue and over glaze enamels with Baby Boys and Peony Flowers; base unglazed. With a well carved hardwood cover and stand. Short area of mouth with overpainting inside and out; two hairlines, one each in two of the boys, one through to the inside, and we cannot see the other inside. Height of porcelain 12 3/4 inches (32.5 cm.).
