Pablo Picasso (1881-1973)

The painting ‘Les Demoiselles d'Avignon’ (1907) is one of the best known works of Picasso. Like his monumental painting ‘Guernica’ (1937), no other work has marked the art of the 20th century. Two museums, the Museu Picasso in Barcelona and the Musée Picasso in Antibes Picasso's works were for his own lifetime established.
