Chinese Qing Dynasty porcelain vase, having a baluster body, the bulbous belly gently tapered to the waisted neck leading to flared rim with wide opening, raised on concave splayed base, with two PiXue shaped scrolling cloud ears flanked on the neck. Covered overall in Flambé glaze, with attractive red and blue and turquoise-blue toward upper rim on a white porcelain body. The Iridescent blue, purple, splashes and streaks characteristic of this glaze are described as yao bian, or "transmutation glaze" and resulting from transmutation of colloidal copper, iron, or other metallic materials into suffusions breaking up the glaze surface. The foot rim remain unglazed revealed the orange-brown underglazed ground with dark-grayish spots of firing marks. The central underbase covered in pale-orange-copper underglaze with some spots remain unglazed, shows the unique and attractive pale-celadon spots.
Mark on base, an incised six seal script -ZhuanShu- characters, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing.
