A Very fine Chinese jade covered vase. Carved in a flattened baluster body, with squared corners, tapered gracefully toward waisted neck leading to a banded rectangular rim, raised on splayed foot base. The dome lid crowned with simply bud finial. Two dragon shaped handles flanked from the neck. The exterior decorated with relief of vigorous front facing dragon chasing the flaming pearl amidst flames and clouds. The dome lid with scrolling clouds. While the neck and finial left balanced plain fine polished. The vase preciously displayed upon carved hardwood stand. The jade shows pale-celadon color with beautiful translucent and even tone.
