Pair of very fine Chinese porcelain baluster form vases. Potted in an ovoid lower body, tapered gracefully toward straight tall neck leading to a slightly incurved rim, raised on a splayed foot base. Two dragon shaped handles flanked on the neck. The exterior decorated in highly complicated pictorial compositions of colorful famille rose detail painting, depicted villager in various pursuits against terraced garden landscape scene. Interspersed by subtle blue underglaze scrolling tendrils lotus and over clean white underglazed ground. Banded with interlocking ruyi pattern on the rim and foot, and numerous auspicious ribbons around neck and shoulders. The immaculate porcelain body covered with a characteristic silky glaze. The composition is sophisticated and the decoration colors are simply a feast for the eye.
Mark on base, a six underglaze blue seal script -ZhuanShu- characters reign mark, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing.
