Fine Pr Chinese 18 century Famille Rose Mandarin Hexagon Vases with three sets of rococco panels with Mandarin figures in Chinese Gardens, the neck with alternating figures and puce landscapes; the covers with bird panels surmounted by gilt dog finials and all on a well preserved background of gold leaves. Good condition with slight wear to the gold at the edges of the porcelains. Height with cover 18 1/2 inches (47.1 cm.). Provenance: labels of Kentshire Gallery, 37 East 12 Street, NYC to each; Old hand written label from the Estate of Episcopal Bishop Charles Fane de Salis (1860–1942), Bishop of Taunton from 1911 to 1930, the Church of England Diocese of Bath and Wells, in the Province of Canterbury, England. The title first created under the Suffragan Bishops Act 1534 and takes its name after Taunton, the county town of Somerset.
