Description: A group of five Japanese stonewares
Comprising: a yellowish-white glazed flaring chawan, possibly late 16th/early 17th century, on shaped "bird" foot, three spur marks in the bowl; a brown-stained circular dish with everted rim painted in iron brown with landscape scene; a finely-potted olive-brown glazed Ninsei-type dish of oblong form in rounded lobes with open lattice work, underside with inmpressed "Ninsei"; a Shino warm-white glazed four loop-footed dish with lobed corners painted with water-plant motifs to interior, three spur marks to top and underside; a bowl, possibly Okaya Kamashita, 16th/17th century, decorated with green and brown glazed splashes to interior.
