Description: A Korean blue and white porcelain "Carp" bowl
joseon dynasty, 18th/early 19th century
Sturdily potted, with curving sides and a short circular foot, the interior decorated with an arching carp on waves, below a mountain and sun, the cavetto painted with peony and chrysanthemum sprays, the exterior with ornamented panels below a stylized wave border, all under a pale blueish-white glaze, fine kiln sand to foot.
