Pair of Chinese Qing Dynasty gilt overglaze tea dust porcelain vases. In bulbous barrel shaped body leading to a short waisted prominent neck and a slightly splayed foot base. Exterior covered in gilt overglazed archaic dragon motif wrapping across attractive olive-green underglazed surface. Underbase with Qianlong impressed six characters reign mark in overglaze gilt, Qing Dynasty.

PROVENANCE: James Barnes (1939-2016) of Memphis, TN; survived by two sisters who have decided to sell some of his treasured collections to fund charitable foundations that he was actively involved in. These collections were inherited from his Father-in-law (Kenneth Harlin) at his passing in 1967. Mr. Harlin had an early film career in the 1920-1930s as an international traveler he was able to bring back treasures from around the world.
