A silk robe and other textiles
Circa 1900A robe of dark blue silk with embroidered cuffs depicting vases issuing fruits and flowers, with precious objects, lion dogs and flowers at the hems in coloured silks and couched gold thread, 101.5cm long; a woman's fitted short-sleeved jacket in cream silk brocade, colourfully embroidered with roundels of flowers and butterflies, 68cm long; two pairs of sleeve panels, one embroidered with a garden, the other with flower arrangements, 50cm and 58.5cm long respectively; a pair of Mandarin rank badges depicting an egret of the 6th civil rank in couched gold thread, assembled as a bag with green glass hoop handle, 30cm square; together with another pair of Mandarin squares of a military lion in bright colours, assembled as a bag with fringe and glass hoop clasps, panels 23cm square; a square embroidered panel of a crane roundel, a pair of cushion covers with peacocks in couched metallic thread, a brocade panel of dragon design in blue and khaki, another pair of couched metallic thread panels, seven various purses and two mirror cases.(21).
