A magnificent pair of Chinese carved white jade vases hanging together in a wooden frame with vined foliage and floral blooms. The carved white jade vase is connected by jade links to the central hanging supports above. Each vase is held in a majestically carved Zitan hardwood frame stand in floral blooms, foliate motif, interlocking vines, and archaic Chinese patterns. Vase carved in squared baluster shape, with rectangular ovoid body, tapered gently toward waisted neck leading to flared rims supporting the domed lid and a simply bud finial, two open work scrolling foliate shaped ears suspending the free rings emerged from their collar linked to open carved jade chains. The exterior is decorated in deep carving of archaic Chinese rococo scrolling tendrils. The jade showing pale white-cream celadon color which is iridescent and a moist milky appearance with natural inclusion along the surfaces. The jade gives an appearance of being wet with a milk-like quality. Gorgeously presented on a carved hardwood stand. The jade is extremely well carved giving it an aura of grandeur.
