Persian luristan bronze spouted vessel. The vessel is made of thin sheets of bronze, giving it a thin walled body. There is a pinched or channeled spout, the base of which was decorated with raised lines and surrounded by pellets.Vessels such as these were perhaps used for filling lamps or for pouring ritual oils in religious ceremonies. In profile, it resembles a graceful abstract bird, with a long beak and curving neck, circa 600 B.C. - 1200 B.C.
