The central rectangular fragment woven with a dark blue ground
and faded yellow threads with six blocks of Sanskrit inscriptions in
Tibetan uchen script relating to the practice of Vajrabhairava below
placement instructions for each block woven in white threads with a
horizontal line of Chinese characters to include left and right (zuo and
you), front and behind (qian and hou), above and below (shang and
xia) the forty-ninth Buddha (sishijiu Fo); the block of six repeated a
second time above a partial block of four at the base; surrounded by
pieced brocade triangles and strips in various patterns that form the
border on each side.
