A RARE KABUTO PILL BOX
Japan, Meiji period (1868-1912). The small box made of silvered bronze in the shape of a Samurai helmet with fine décor in high relief as well neatly applied incision work to the sides depicting a Karako playing with a trained mouse on a leash.

Condition: Excellent condition with some old wear and some traces of use. The lid with its original hinge, well moving, and leaving a two-millimeter-gap when closed.
