The artworks in this auction are from Chinese-American collectors. The 46th lot of the wooden statue of Guanyin is from a Tang Dynasty temple in Wutai County, Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province, China. The temple was destroyed during the Republic of China in the 20th century. Most of the temples were found in nearby villages due to lack of protection. The gemstone inlaid on the head was lost. After being purchased at a low price by American Warner, it was finally saved in the Chinese-American Collection after many rounds (because the client was unwilling to disclose the identity information), so it is omitted here.
