A mottled blue glaze ceramic Shiwan censer dating from the Ming dynasty with a wooden stand. The censer has 3 short legs and the stand has a carved wooden skirt. Dimensions are: the censer measures 3 1/2 inches tall X 5 inches wide, the stand measures 1 1/4 inches tall X 4 3/4 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The glaze is minorly crackled and pitted with age, overall good condition. Provenance: From a Toronto, Canada collector who collected all of the items in Hong Kong prior to the 1970s.
