A Shiwan statue of Budai with a wooden stand and dating to the 18th century. The figure is wearing a Ge glazed robe and his skin texture is bare ceramic. The Budai is hollow inside and he is depicted reclining with his left hand resting on a pillow and his right on his knee holding a necklace of prayer beads. Dimensions are: the figure measures 6 3/4 inches tall X 9 1/2 inches wide, the stand measures 1 1/2 inches tall X 10 3/4 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Minor hairline cracks on the interior, one of his nipples is broken off, overall good condition.
