A Shiwan ceramic statue of an elephant with a wooden stand dating from the Ming dynasty. The basin on the elephant's back is in the form of a lotus leaf with buds and roots. There is a hole in the elephant's ears to string a now-lost ornament. Dimensions are: 7 1/2 inches tall X 7 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: It is in good condition.
