An ink on paper calligraphy couplet by Yu Youren (1879-1964) and given to Xingru and Qinmeng. Both have silk backings, 5 characters, a dedication, and 1 seal. Dimensions are: 64 inches tall X 12 1/2 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Some minor creasing, overall good condition. Provenance: From the estate of a Silver Spring, Maryland woman whose father was Yu Jishi, a top Nationalist general and a close confidant of Chiang Kai-shek.
