Mark of Bernardus Rijke (1796 – 1825).
The reeded finial above a pierced domed and bead decorated cover. The linear pierced silver body with leaf decoration, enclosing a blue glass liner. Raised on a pedestal square section base with bead decoration. The cover bears a family crest “Honesta Quam Magna”

Engraved with a family crest within a ribbon and motto: HONESTA QUAM MAGNA (How great are his honorable deeds). Crest and motto For Sir Robert James Milo Walker, Baronet, or Sand Hutton, Yorkshire and of Beachampton, Buckinghamshire.

The Rijke family was known in the years 1755 - 1900 as silversmith’s and wine merchants. Christiaan Rijke (1733 - 1816) married in 1755 and had ten children. His son Bernard was registered in 1796 in the guild in 'S-Hertogenbosch (6, no. 179); his initials BR and the year letter F = 1815 appear on two silver ampoules of the Bossche episcopal museum.
