A vase with edged designs reminiscent to the Fa Hua ceramics of the Ming dynasty. I love the scenes of warriors on horseback and thin, runny turquoise glaze which has pooled and suffused on the surface.A porcelain square tapering vase with a cylindrical reverse tapering neck and a flared rim. The vase has a nice weight to it. The turquoise glaze is thin and fluid. It feels smooth to the touch and looks shiny. There are edges molded into the porcelain to depict a battle scene with warriors on horseback and their attendants holding flags. Around the neck has mountains, a boat, and a house; and the four corners at the shoulder have bats. The vase was hand potted, as you can see the pottera€?s wheel marks under the glaze. The base is flat with a central indented square well. The base is unglazed but the glaze has run and the base was chipped off the sager. This has made a slight unevenness which makes the vase sit a bit uneven. There is a partial molded word CHINA on the base. This was partially destroyed when the vase was drilled for a lamp.MEASUREMENTS 14a€ (35.6 cm) tall x 5a€ (12.7 cm) x 5a€ (12.7 cm). There are kiln flaws such as black spots, dimples, bumps, and bleeding. The glaze is bright and shiny. The vase has color and the movement of the design. It is big and will have a great showing in your d??cor.___________________Item ID: Por-1563
