When lit from behind, it has a warm luminescence.Circular thinly cut jade disc with a central hole that represents the Chinese archaic representation of heaven. The jade is translucent with a coloring of pale green. When held to the light, you can see pale brown inclusions. The design is of four paired C-scrolls that are evenly spaced, and separated by small square lozenges. There is a border line on the rim. The surface polish of the jade is shiny and feels smooth and slick. It has that dense weight of jade. The wood stand that was made for the disc is a reddish color with a tight grain. The wood stand has a nice weight. The stand fits the disc snugly.There are no marks or labels on the jade.
