The six sided soft pewter-like metal tea caddies have auspicious molded decorations such as bats, pine trees, baby dragons with flaming pearls, and prunus blossoms. They are well detailed, well matched and have a substantial feel.The caddies are made from a soft pliable metal that has been formed into six sided containers with a six sided foot. Each of the sides have designs molded into them. Several panels depict pine trees with the fungus of longevity. One a panel on each caddy depicts a plum tree with a bat flying by. The larger side panels have matching designs of a Chilong with the flaming pearl of wisdom. At the six sided shoulder a cylindrical neck rises with a round mouth. There are molded lappet bands at the shoulder and above the foot. Each caddy has a round lid with a red carnelian bead finial. The round neck and lid interiors show the marks of a lathe.
