There is a hole at the back to prevent cracking during firing. The faces are painted with rosy cheeks, red lips and black eyes. The gentleman has black hair and lady has brown. Gold has been used to accent the clothing. The glaze is off white with crazing. The foot is unglazed and the base is glazed.
