Molded matched pair of roosters with a finely crackled turquoise glaze that is rich, vibrant and shiny. They are well detailed and hand worked to go the extra step.Rooster figurines that were made of porcelain and molded using a pour method. The mold lines are invisible. The inner surface is unglazed and shows an open base used in the pouring manufacture. The foot is rough and glazed. There was not good glaze control as there is turquoise glaze on the foot. There are small glaze spots near holes in the inner surface of the pieces. The holes were likely used to keep the figurines from breaking during firing. The glaze feels thin, smooth, and looks shiny. The glaze has pooled in spots adding depth and contrast. They have weight and are a nice large size. There are the words CHINA in the underside in red enamel.MEASUREMENTS 9 ??a€ (24.8 cm) tall x 6a€ (15.2 cm) long x 4a€ (10.2 cm) wide.
